Agroforestry is the intentional integration of trees and shrubs into crop and animal farming systems to create environmental, economic, and social benefits.

The forest is a complex web of flora, fauna, and fungi, all of which share, and can improve available water, nutrients, and light. Eleusis stewards and improves temperate forest biodiversity. We offer opportunities to interact with the abundance of forest life for the betterment of both people and environment. We integrate forest farming, Silvapasture, and permaculture to grow sustainable food, wood, beautiful building material, and medicine.

We specialize in non-timber forest products (NTFPs). Tree nuts: hazelnuts, chestnuts, hickory nuts. Cultivated: shiitake, hostas, lady’s slipper orchids. Wildcrafted mushrooms: chanterelles, porcinis. Cultivated and wildcrafted: oysters, stropharia, ginseng, wild leeks.

We cultivate soil, regenerating gray dirt to brown soil, making possible transformation into green plants and assorted fungi.

We study and develop land management systems to better steward our only home.

And we actually get to spend as much time as we want in the forest. Come visit us at 4095 Hwy 96 West.

An integrative and multifunctional forest enterprise
