Regenerative/Recovery Farm

"Sober farming" refers to addiction recovery programs that utilize farm-based activities and environments to support individuals in their journey to sobriety. These programs offer a combination of therapeutic benefits, including a sense of purpose, camaraderie, and meaningful work, all while providing a structured and supportive environment conducive to recovery. 

Definition of sober:

Not currently using a substance or behavior having negative effects on personal and social wellbeing

RRO (Recovery/Regeneration Organizations) serve persons with prior or current substance dependencies and behavioral/psychological challenges. Each RRO is responsible for their own guidelines and protocols. They operate independently of each other.

Sheep to Shepherds (Christian): alcohol / opioids / amphetamines / benzodiazepines

Workaholics Anonymous (Canna-recovery): Secular, non-religious

Carbohydraters Anonymous: (Vegetarian, Paleo) Secular, non-religious

Marijuana / THC sober

Sober (non-alcohol) living

Decaffeinators

Smokers cessation

Porn addicts

Shopaholics

Obsessive thinkers

Depression/Anxiety Reduction (incl Benzodiazpine reduction support)

Divorce Support

Relationship Loss

Digital detox

People may not find themselves in one of the above groups. Not to worry. We can give you a something to work on.


Teachers must refrain from using the specific substance/behavior on-site when they are serving a RRO

How much structure is provided

Each Recovery/Regeneration Organization should provide enough structure to support each individual’s growth. The more growth is achieved, the less structure is required.
